The saunas

Finnish sauna

Bio sauna

Steam bath

Infrared cabin

Finnish sauna

The classic sauna. With heat of 90°C - 100°C, you’ll experience a cleansing sweat that refreshes both body and mind.

Certified sauna masters regularly carry out aromatic infusions in the traditional Finnish sauna with its panorama window overlooking the Kaunertal mountain landscape. The times and details of the infusions can be found in the notices posted in the swimming pool and sauna areas.

Bio sauna

Gentler than the Finnish sauna and very soothing. At a moderate temperature of 55°C - 60°C, relaxation is positively mellow in the bio sauna.

A deliberately staged colour display supports healing and regeneration. Regular infusions and the view out over the surrounding mountains offer a special relaxation experience.

Steam bath

The high humidity inside our steam bath pampers the skin and airways with its invigorating aromas. How about a salt scrub made from pure Alpine salts between sauna sessions? Nourishes and revitalises for a radiant skin.

Infrared cabin

After exercise, the special heat of the infrared cabin relaxes the tissue and counteracts muscle pain. Ideal after skiing, hiking or a long day in the Kaunertal mountains.

Quellalpin sauna rules

  • Treat yourself to a light meal beforehand.   This will provide the body with more energy for the sauna session.
  • Dry off. Please shower and dry off before going into the sauna. This will make it easier to sweat!
  • Go naked into the sauna.  It’s liberating. And it’s more hygienic.
  • No metal jewellery.  Metal heats up in the sauna and can lead to burns. This also applies to piercings!
  • Don’t forget something to sit on.  We recommend one towel to sit on and one to dry off.
  • Lots of water.  Drinking is good for circulation. Before and after the sauna visit, rather than between sessions, for better detoxification.
  • Sweat it out for 10 to 20 minutes.  That’s plenty. Please leave the sauna if you experience any dizziness. We recommend 2 to 3 sessions. Taking a sauna is neither a competition nor a marathon.
  • Talk quietly  out of consideration for other sauna guests.
  • Cool down naturally. Alternating showers of fresh spring water or jumping into the snow on the open-air patios will get your blood circulation going.
  • Take the chance to rest. Experts recommend a 15-minute break between sauna sessions.
  • Recharge your batteries. How about a visit to the Quellalpin restaurant after going to the sauna?
